GOALS AND
OBJECTIVES
The goal of the Butterfly Christian Preschool is to provide
the child with an atmosphere of Christian love conducive to creative play and exploration
of the childs world. Emphasis is placed on the childs Christian education,
social development, mental development, communication skills, and creativity. The
Preschool will strive to make school a positive, growing experience.
The Preschool meets these objectives by providing
opportunities for each child to participate in group and individual activities. These
include: dramatic play, skill building, science exploration, creative arts, readiness
skills, creative movement, outdoor play, free choice activities, music, literature, and
chapel.

STAFFING
The classrooms are staffed by qualified, experienced, caring
professionals who obtain at least 15 hours of training each year. The teachers have
education and training in child development and use this knowledge to play developmentally
appropriate activities and to be sensitive to the needs of individual children.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Parents are encouraged to participate in structured and
unstructured meetings with other parents and with the teachers. Parent-Teacher conferences
are held during February and at any other time the parent or staff feels the need to talk.
Another way parents participate is through providing snack
for their childs class once a month.

GUIDANCE TECHNIQUES
We believe that when children are provided with a loving,
caring, environment, designed to accommodate their needs, to encourage cooperative play,
and to accept their personalities, they will be secure and happy. Teachers will use a
variety of positive techniques to help children adjust to the classroom experience. The
Butterfly Christian Preschool helps children learn to have respect for one another and for
themselves.

Butterfly Christian Preschool admits students of any race, color,
religious, national or ethnic
origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made
available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race,
color, religious, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission
policies, and athletic and other school administered programs.
